Staying Healthy at Mass

Even as positive tests for corona increase and economic hardships touch our neighbors, we ask Christ to enter our midst and give us the peace to do what needs to be done to care for one another, especially the sick, poor, elderly and any other vulnerable groups.

For the time being, the following changes will be made:

· If you are sick, or in a vulnerable state, please stay home from Mass. The obligation to attend Mass is lifted in these situations (CCC 2181). In this case, the TV Mass may be a fruitful alternative.

· Reception of the Eucharist under the Precious Body only.  Be reminded that the full grace of the sacrament is received under either species. Eucharistic Ministers are asked not to make contact with communicants.

Fr. Scott is asking that communion not be received on the tongue, as even well trained ministers make regular contact with the tongue.

· Sign of Peace without physical contact – visible or verbal exchange only.

· Holy water fonts will not be filled with holy water.

Take comfort in the fact that God is with us always.

“For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” JEREMIAH 11
