2019 World Day of Prayer Service

Everyone is invited to attend the local World Day of Prayer service at St. Augustine Church, 442 2nd Street SE, St. Cloud, on Friday, March 1 at 1:00 PM. A Bible study will be held in the St. Katharine Drexel School Conference Room at 11:30 AM. Participants in the Bible Study are encouraged to bring a bag lunch.

This year’s ecumenical prayer service is written by the women of Slovenia, one of the smallest and newest countries in Europe. The theme for the Bible study and the worship service is: “Come – Everything is Ready”, based on Jesus’ parable of the Great Banquet (Luke 14). The people of Slovenia challenge us to widen our circles and to expand our outreach.

World Day of Prayer is a worldwide effort of Christian women of many traditions who come together to observe a common day of prayer each year on the first Friday in March.
