St. Augustine Christian Women is a ministry of service to the parish and spiritual support to members. Affiliated with the Diocesan, National, and World Catholic Women’s Councils, St. Augustine Christian Women aim to support, empower and educate all Catholic women in spirituality, leadership and service. Formally organized in 1920, our mission has been to serve and support one another and our parish with services, projects, and financial support to help the community thrive and grow in our Catholic faith and action.

Our activities include fund raising to support the parish and school. We sponsor scholarships for Catholic education, provide hosts and wine for Mass, serve funeral luncheons, support Elevate Pregnancy and Family Resource Center, provide hospitality for multiple events, and more. Probably the most familiar thing we do is making and selling the famous donuts for the St. Aug’s Men’s Breakfasts.

Our patron saint, Saint Anne is honored as the mother of the Blessed Virgin Mary and the grandmother of Jesus Christ. Her life, a model of humility and prayer, offers timeless lessons for every believer. Devoted to God, she nurtured faith with gentle care and steadfast service. Her example teaches us that every act of love and sacrifice is a step toward the divine. Through her care, her legacy continues to remind us of the sacred duty to safeguard and support our own families, imitating the heavenly love bestowed upon her lineage.

We are actively recruiting new members! As our parishioners age, younger members are especially needed to keep St. Augustine Christian Women operating. Membership is open to all parish women 18 and older, and we have also welcomed women from other parishes. Joining is simple, and there are many ways to participate, including by your prayerful support if you cannot be active at this time in your lives. Dues are $5 per year.

We meet the second Thursday of the month at 2:30 p.m.; 7 times per year (Sep-Dec, Mar-May), October and May we meet at 4:30pm and enjoy dinner together. Meetings include praying together, sharing opportunities, spiritual education, and discussing upcoming events and activities.
